LAPPY Woes & QuestiONs

Hiya all,

To my beloved readers that are both new and old and off course fellow beauty bloggers some to mention are Cheryl and Nic Nic ( I miss you gals loads and really cherish the connection we found through the web). I am sorry for the long hiatus, i went through kinda of rough patch (I am A OK now :D). But off course my bad luck was not at end as now my laptop has been infected with a trojan/virus that is so killing my mood to blog and really has hinder me to go online.

These are the symptoms that my lappy have;

a)When i switch it on it just gives me this green screen (and nothing and i mean nothing can be done) unmeasurable tapping on the keypads yield NOthing Nada and this frustrates me so much As you know with Acer laptops you don't actually well my laptop does not have a restart button so i had to resort to shutting it from the power outlet (which is bad :( ....)

b)If by some miraculous fortune i manage to get the lappy to start and i manage to get online once, i open another window the computer screen just freezes and nothing else can be done.Which really makes me mad. I just sometimes feel like throwing away the laptop but when i remember my parents money paying for it and all my precious pictures and files stilll inside ... I stop heh.

Thats another reason why i have been MIA for so long, i have just bought an external hardrive to transfer all my pics etc. But as off now, i am blogging using my Mother's lappy and it is so old skool, no Photoeditor etc. I still have not gotten the hang of using it hehehhe. And all my other pics are in my lappy so i am left with nothing to blog about, thats why no blog entry. I am still trying to fiddle my way into finding a program that can deal with pictures etc. This also kills my mood to blog its not that i don't want to hehehehh.

So i am answering some questions instead:

a)Well to the person that was worried about that order from circlelens2u no yet coming, i can assure you that they are a good site and i have ordered from them 2 times and it came to me within 5 days and the goods that came are as stated. Maybe you should email them if it takes longer than you expects.Hope that helps.

b)Well to Mia, the freshlook colorblends Turquoise, i really recommend it as the colour is virbrant and really shows, i was in Rome once and a person thought it was my real eyecolour LOL . I wanted to show you pics but they are all in my old lappy boo.

BooKS I LOVE; Twilight Series By Stephenie Meyer :D

Hiya all,

I just want to share with you all and I am sure you all know this book series by now;

The Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer

The movie adaptation which is coming out this November that I am sure will be a blockbuster movie(cross fingers).


How did I know or even encounter this book, maybe it was fate? Hehehhe

It was September 2007, i was on my way back home and currently stranded at Heathrow Airport and was bored, I had nothing to read and was thinking of the longgggggggg hours ahead. I was just browsing at Border saying to myself I’ll just pick up a nice chicklit to while away the time. Numerous book covers faced me and I am the type of person that before I buy the book, I have to read the first page just to get a feel of it, if the first page manage to grab my attention, I will buy it straightaway regardless of the ending. So straightaway the cover caught my attention, it was quite gothic to me in theme and had all the elements of my favourite colour, red, black and white. It had a powerful and beautiful imagery and it made curious as what the book was all about, as I read the back and I was intrigue to know that it was about a vampire and human love. I have read some books on vampire love story and they were quite thrashy (not my cup of tea) and mostly focused on the adult stuff (though I admit I do read romance novels hehehhe).

I decided there and then to just purchase the book on a whim, and as I settled down at my airplane seat, I read the first page and I was just HOOKED, I read it all throughout the journey, stopping just for meals and toilet breaks lol, I didn’t even sleep much during the flight back, my sis must have have thought I was being a bad company for ignoring her. But this book I admit was such a delicious and good read, I was just in another world and I totally LOVE the purity of Bella & Edwards Love. So to anyone out there who has not read it, Run, run to the bookstore and Grab a Copy. I just finished reading the Final Book BREAKING DAWN and now I am so sad this series is over :( . I am so anticipating the Movie release this 21st November (please come faster, I think the main cast is fabulous ;)) and hopefully Jacob’s story/book is in the works (cross my fingers).

IM SOOOOO SICK ;All the works;sore throat full of green phelgm,headaches, flu, dry cough. I am now eating my favourite sweets in the world STREPSILS yummm. The doctor even said i had asthma and prescribe me pills. And i cannot exert myself and must have full rest whilst sipping my hot ginger tea heh.

I am also sad because my sis just flew off to further her studies in UK, she was the best sis ever , though we had fights, she was my designated driver and food partner . Its now 9 more months till she is back :(

I have some questions from my readers and this are my answers, hope it helps!.

a)Zrestha: just a tip as likas soap can be very drying when used on the face, just use a good facial moisturiser afterwards.


b)Maika: The topgel really help my skin and cured my pimples now i usually only get pimples during my period (the usual heh), mine was a whole lot worse before with lots of scars even, so i think its actually a process of trial and error in order to get better skin. I hope the TopGel cream will help your skin as it did mine. .In the earlier period, i use and spread it all over my face and i applied it thickly on the problem areas(pimply or scarred area). For me now, i only use it for spot treatment and make sure that you remove it thoroughly in the morning.I only use the soap for my body though.

This is how i use it;

Morning: Wipe off the TopGel cream thoroughly with tissue paper,
then i use my Clean & Clear Clean Pore Scrub
Use my facial soap.

Whenever you feel your skin is oily, wash it off with your facial wash. (i know some people don't really recommend this hehehhe)

Night: Wash face with facial soap
Apply TopGel on any spots or scars.

(If it is drying always apply a good facial moisturiser afterwards for me, if i have some dry patches on my face i use vaseline and it always works like a charm & its cheap :D)

Its that easy, hope it helps :).

c) Ling, i bought the MAC Prep & Prime Face Protect Spf 50 when i was in UK and it retailed for 18 pounds.

Product Review: Oil......Oil Go Away.......MAC Prep & Prime Face Protect Spf 50

Hiya all,

These days as the weather is becoming more hotter, my makeup tend to melt off more easily and im practically an oil producing factory heheh lol. The funny thing is my skin is more towards the combination side and once after a through examination at a facialist she said my skin was dry on the outer and oily on the inside ,if any of you all can make sense of that lol hehhe.

With the hot sunny weather nowadays, this is what happens to me, i work from approximately 7 to 4 pm

6 a.m Wakeup+Shower

6.30a.m Use Makeup etc

7.00+ Go to work, makeup still intact

8.00a.m Face start getting oily

8.30 more oilier

Don't ask me how it fares to lunch and the afternoon!(grrrrr).

At the 8 a.m mark, i would have already been whipping out my oil blotter and start blotting, the thing is, i have a slight pet peeve about having an oily face, i cannot tolerate it on other people let alone myself (i knowwww OCD much lol). By lunch i would have gone through 2 oil blotter sheets and though i so love them ; the Clean & Clear Oil Control Film.

I do want to have some control over my face oil secretions. My Loreal UV perfect spf 50 is a powerful sunblock but i suspect its giving me the oilies and also my foundation does not exactly have oil absorbing properties though it does its job well and gives the glowy look.

I am actually tired of being the only one in the office blotting and whipping out the blue sheets. Why do u all ask, becos the rest don't use makeup, yupz makeup free they all are, women that is heh. Well i believe in the usage of makeup to boost my confidence (i know, i know low self esteem issues lol) hehhe.

So i went on my quest to find the best solution to my not oily proof skin. I went on MakeupAlley and read through reviews to find what can make my makeup sweatproof, oil proof whatever else you may call it. Though i have the HG products for my eyeshadows which are the UDPP from Urban Decay and MAC Paint Pots (highly recommended and good value for money). I wanted something that can make my foundation makeup on the overall stay put.

I soon discovered that i had to use a good primer and one that can make my makeup glide on more smoothly and make its stay put hehe.

I opted to use MAC Prep and Prime Face Protect spf 50.

A skin-protecting cream with SPF 50. Applies under makeup to prime the skin for the sun. Featherweight, fast-absorbing, oil-free, invisible. Will not affect the look, texture or long-wear integrity of your makeup. Specially formulated with oil-absorbing powder, helps prevent oil breakthrough. I know sounds miraculous right and just the solution for me!

My review after a test period of 2 week is as follows:

Ratings: 4.5 out of 5 stars

I am so loving it, upon application and you need only a pea sized amount which i dot all four corners of my face, it is easily absorbed into my skin.

This is how i use it;

The Steps;

i)Put my nivea aqua sensation moisturiser as i have some pimples which is drying nicely due to Top Gel, this moisturiser is my saviour as it can really get rid of the flakiness.

ii)Dot the MAC Prep & Prime Face Protect spf 50 all over my face and spread evenly, wait for it to be totally absorbed.

iii)Get down to your Makeup Bisness hehhe.

Wonder of wonders it does the job, it made my foundation powder glide on smoother and it can also act as an eyeshadow primer whooopeedoo !

Well what about the oily face problem you are facing? Well in that sense it did its job very well. My face didn't get the oilies untill lunch and it cut down my oil blotter usage to only one sheet per day,before i won't tell you how much my initial usage lol. So it did its job wonderfully and the added plus of the spf 50. I am really loving this product and i so want to stock up hehe.

Thats my review on the product and hope it helps others that are also searching for some solution to oily face syndrome :D

NuDy GrEyS CirCle Lens + Blue Hyori Inspired Look

I just wanted to share with you all the pics of my eyes with the Nudy Greys on, i have been meaning to open it for my graduation but i opted to use my Floral Browns as i did not want to be too out there heh.

My review are

I was pleasantly suprised by the comfort level, though i didn't acheive the Halo effect as the circle lens was just the shape of my iris, boo........ it gave a shiny watery sheen to my eyes, and my sis said are you crying when i used them on hehh...is that a good thing lol. I love it and how i wished i opened it earlier, though it is not the most natural looking lens heheh.It did enlarge my big eyes :P.

This look is also an update to my Hyori inspired makeup using blue eyeshadow from TheFaceshop.

The makeup used are:

UDPP from Urban Decay

Black Colorstay Eyeliner from Revlon

Blue Eyeshadow BL604 from Faceshop.

Its just a simple look and easy to do;

1)Spread UDPP all over your eyelid.

2)Put the Blue eyeshadow on your top until the crease and bottom eyelid

3)Outline your eye with the eyeliner, giving it a v shaped at the end and you are done! :D

How is everyone?, hope everyone is doing fine, i have some major ketchuping to do :).Did anyone miss me, the reason for my hiatus was that i had to go to United Kingdom (UK) for my Master Graduation Ceremony and i had loads of fun and did some major hauling heheheh. Now i am just going to sit quietly and wait for my money balance to go up LOL. I went there for 2 weeks and it was such good fun to chill and forget about working life and it was so fun catching up with old colleagues.

I have always for the longest time wanted an LV bag, couldn't afford it as i was still a poor student heheh, my mother did not really support my love of bags hehe and for a while i was lurking on the purse forum lol, asking for opinions on what my first LV bag should be, I saw Fei's monty and it was lovely, i had so many to choose from but when i went to Selfridges and i asked the everful helpful HOT french albeit gay male SA to put the bags infront of me and i just fell in love, LV Love as they say it with this bag.
